WHY TAKE THE COURSE
We entered the agritech sector around the same time - 2016. It was sheer love and passion for the sector that drove us and continues to keep us here. But there was no one to orient us to the sector. Everyone kept talking about feeding 10 billion in 2050 and we naively believed those marketing messages.
Nobody told us that the precision agriculture wave began in the 1980s. Nobody told us that some of the agritech innovations we see are decades old. This is a gap that many have told us about and we experienced while hiring too. There is not much in terms of a primer, refresher or industry orientation out there. Despite the global footprint and size of the sector, this is a task that all companies have to to inhouse.
So, when decided to design 'Global agritech 101' course, we wanted to design a perfect industry primer that looks at possibilities and problems with equal honesty.
